It's all in the name

s we celebrate world bee day today, we find ourselves reflecting on our business name. "Beans Knees", obviously derived from the phrase "Bees Knees" reflects what we are all about. Firstly it reflects one of our core values: "quality". We strive to be the bees knees when it comes to coffee. We are a small batch coffee roaster so we have the ability to roast our coffee fresh on demand. We are also a part of the 1% of coffee roasters that roast on an air roaster. We roast on a S15 Loring Coffee Roaster and to put it into perspective there are only 5 of these types of roasters in Perth! This is just one of the ways we strive to have strategic difference in a crowded coffee market.

But, our name reflects more than just quality, it reflects our business personality. It is a light-hearted play on words and tells the world that we don't take ourselves too seriously. We have had so many people comment on how we have such a cool business name or how it made them giggle or smile. And that’s exactly the sort of impact we hoped to have when we started Beans Knees Coffee!
